PROVE IT!

One of Bill’s favorite movies is the classic western drama, “SHANE”.  As kids of the 1950’s, we all remember Shane as the mysterious lone hero, the family who settled on the grassy valley in the shadow of the majestic Tetons of Wyoming, the little boy who idolized Shane and the scary looking classic “gunfighter” who terrorized all of them.  Being raised in the historic Old West town of Prescott, AZ, where Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp lived and gambled in the famous Palace Saloon, Bill often heard stories about these and other local heroes and gunfighters.  With this sculpture Bill is transporting us back to those larger than life myths & legends of a long ago place and time, as we imagine this gunfighter as he gives the challenge, “prove it!”
