Bill has been a hunter since he was a boy with his father, then with his friends for 50 years. He continues today with his son and grandsons. In this larger than life sized, 14 ft tall – 2.5 ton sculpture, he recreates an event he has seen on several hunting trips and knows has probably happened to him on one hunt or other. We see a cowboy hunting by scanning the distance with binoculars, his horse stands beside him looking over the edge of the high outcropping they are upon. Below the horse sees a large Mule Deer buck sneaking away, unknown to the cowboy hunter. With a bit of humor we are the unseen observers wondering what would have happened “if horses could talk”.
