Bill often practices archery shooting at his home in the late summer and fall, preparing for hunting deer, antelope or elk with bow and arrow. He has taught his wife and kids to how to use this ancient technique of hunting also. Imagination took Bill to a long ago time and place as he created this sculpture of a native man centuries before Europeans came onto the American continent. He had journeyed alone on his search for game, his enemy or a spiritual vision. As he has climbed to the pinnacle of a rocky high place, he positions himself on the precipice at the instant of releasing his arrow into the winds. He prays that the arrow will fly true to its mark and fulfill his quest.
