TRAIL OF THE INTRUDER

The Southern Plains Indians were a group of several tribes including the Comanche. Apaches, Pueblos, and Shoshones, who were experts at tracking game for hunting or an enemy to defeat in battle. In this sculpture Bill gives his interpretation of a Comanche warrior tracking an animal or intruder. On his horse, are painted symbols infused with mystical power. His spear in hand, a quiver filled with arrows on his back and the mystical power of his buffalo headdress, gives him all the power and ability he needs.
