The Wreck is On!

Western art is well known for the stories told in the paintings or sculptures. Often these stories are filled with humor. Many of my bronze sculptures have humor depicted in them. This cowboy is roping calves for the branding crew on the ranch where he works. This little bull calf has decided to take a shortcut under the horse to find his mama. The cowboy’s horse is spooked when the calf runs under him, takes offence, and “the wreck is on”. This event is not humorous to the cowboy, but the on-lookers watching the tables being turned, are enjoying it. “The Wreck is On!
